Caper Tiger teams split with Bridgeton
The boys and girls teams at Lower Cape May were the only area high school basketball teams in action tonight, as they played host to Bridgeton in a girl-boy doubleheader. Both teams built big leads, only to see Bridgeton battle back, and only one was able to hang on for the win.

Lower had three players score in dobule figures as Stephanie Dugan netted 16 points, Stephanie Agger scored 15 points and Victoria Wermuth chipped in 14 points.
BOYS
Bridgeton 58, Lower Cape May 55 (OT): Lower raced out to a 21-6 lead after the first quarter and led by 16 at halftime. But Bridgeton battled back to force overtime and won it in the extra session, outscoring the Tigers 41-22 after halftime. Alexis Alfonso scored 18 points and Patrick Purcell added 15 points for Lower.
Tomorrow, it's the big Wildwood Catholic at Middle Township boys game, which can be heard live on 98.7 The Coast. We hope to have a report on the game and perhaps even some video posted by a couple hours after the game.
