Catholic boys top Tech; Wildwood girls pull off surprise win

BOYS
Wildwood Catholic 47, Cape May Tech 43: Pat Kelly pumped in 26 points (14 of which came in the second half) and the Crusaders held the Hawks without a field goal for about a seven-minute stretch of the second half en route to the win. Kelly is now 78 points shy of 1,000 for his career. Julian Miller added eight points for Wildwood Catholic before fouling out in the fourth quarter. Robby Davis had 18 points and Jamie Coleman added 12 points for Tech.
Glassboro 83, Wildwood 82 (OT): In a game in which defense was apparently nothing more than a rumor, Wildwood held an eight-point lead at the start of the fourth quarter but allowed the Bulldogs to score 28 points in the final quarter to tie the game and send it into OT. Russell Davis (21), James Bevans (17), Dony DeLeo (14) and Matt Schiff (12) were all in double figures in the loss for Wildwood (12-7), which had won four of five games entering the contest. Tommy Breaker's 27 points led all scorers for Glassboro.
St. Augustine Prep 53, Middle Township 46: After the teams were tied after one quarter, the Hermits enjoyed a 29-17 advantage in the middle two periods to establish a lead they never relinquishedTaz Harris had 17 points and Josh Thompson added 14 points for the Panthers (11-9).
GIRLS
Wildwood 54, Glassboro 39: Wildwood broke open a relatively close game with a 14-4 run to finish the game as it snapped Glassboro's nine-game winning streak and handed the Bulldogs just their third loss of the season. Shakiyrah Bishop poured in a game-high 27 points and Latifah McNeal added 18 points and 18 rebounds for the Lady Warriors (14-4). Glassboro, which scored only eight points in the second half, fell to 13-3.

Maggie Senatore had 14 points and Angela Mathis added 12 points for the Crusaders. Katie Carbone poured in 21 points for Tech (1-17), which lost its 14th straight game.
Middle Township 51, Our Lady of Mercy 32: After the teams were tied at 14 after one period, Middle (14-5) held the Villagers to just 18 points the rest of the game on its way to the easy win. Danielle Barber posted 16 points and Jessie Mooers added 10 points for Middle, which won for the fourth time in five games.
