Former Middle Township High School girls soccer star Tara Davies received national recognition recently when she was named to the Women’s Premier Soccer League’s 2008 national honorable mention all-star team.

Davies, a 2006 graduate of Middle who is the school’s all-time leading scorer with more than 100 goals, made the all-star team as a defender for the A.C. Diablos women’s soccer team.

Davies, currently a standout player at Penn State University, where she is about to begin her junior season, was also named to the WPSL All-East first team.
