Delran 4, Middle Township 2 -- post-game interviews
Below is a video clip of Middle coach John Maher and senior forward Austin Johnson as they speak to the media following their team's 4-2 loss to Delran in the state Group II semifinal Tuesday night. The game was played under very difficult conditions at Washington Township High School as severe cold temperatures and breezy conditions played a factor.
Middle went up 2-0 by early in the second half, but Delran scored four unaswered goals over the remainder of the game to get the victory.
One correction to note from earlier posts -- Ryan McCusker scored Middle Township's first goal in the first half, not Austin Johnson. Johnson scored the Panthers' second goal early in the second half.
Kudos to video guru Matt Ulmer, who tried mightily to shoot video of the game but couldn't overcome the brutal conditions while perched 100 feet or so above the field on top of the Washington Township press box. Instead, he shot portions of the post-game interviews that can be viewed below.

I think austin had one heck of a game. He controlled the ball out there and was a strong force for the delran defense to control. Kevin also had a great game and his speed was a real threat. He had a few great crosses and I applaud him on his hustle. Great season middle.
