The rainy weather we've been experiencing this spring has struck again.

The Cape May County Track and Field Championships, scheduled for Thursday afternoon at Lower Cape May Regional HIgh School, have been postponed until Friday due to inclement weather. A round of heavy rain that rolled through the area about an hour before the event's scheduled start, coupled with the threat of more rain later in the afternoon, forced the postponement, LCMR athletic director Mark Schiffbauer stated.

Friday's competition is scheduled to begin with field events at 3:30 p.m., with track events beginning at approximately 4:15 p.m.
