Dutch Hoffmans now scheduled for Monday night

The Wildwood Beach Patrol hopes the third time is the charm.

After inclement weather postponed the 40th running of the Dutch Hoffman Memorial Lifeguard Races, the host Wildwood Beach Patrol has moved the event to Monday evening, Aug. 3, at the Lincoln Avenue Beach. The event is slated to begin at 6:30 p.m.

The Dutch Hoffman race is considered one of the "Big 3" in South Jersey lifeguard competitions. The others are the Margate War Memorials, scheduled for Friday, Aug. 7, and the South Jersey Championships, slated for Friday, Aug. 14.
